As of Tuesday I took the decision to no longer be Creative Director at Un.titled. It was a really hard decision to make, but I’ve decided I want to set up shop on my own with a little studio called Alloneword.
While I had never been happier or prouder to make it to the position of Creative Director at the company that I’ll held in highest regard for the last 12 years or so, working on larger projects with bigger brands comes at a cost of time and stress. Manageable, but tough nevertheless.
I’ve now made the decision to scale back and be more hands on, working with smaller select clients on websites, branding and print, all from home where I can see the kids throughout the day and have a commute of the landing rather than the A47.
I’m so grateful for the other directors for letting me into that top level, plus all the staff that supported me in the changes I made and oversight I gave. I’ve learned so much from my two and a half (on and off) years there and genuinely I’ve never worked with a nicer and more capable team.
So, for now, it's time to enjoy some home time and getting back to basics. Wish me luck, and if you hear of anyone that might need some work, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org :)
